18K into my latest creature feature novel

When deciding what and where to set my next novel, I decided on Florida, the Australia of the United States. It's set in late August 1981, in the Everglades and all its untamed wilderness. I'm also incorporating my experience and knowledge of working for the Seminole Tribe of Florida (I was head of the Dorothy Scott Osceola Memorial Library and later, editor of the Seminole Tribune newspaper).
